Dodgers Win 5-4 Nail-Biter Versus Red Sox
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Christopher Roberts, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dodger Stadium by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Roberts went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Boston has now lost 5 consecutive games.
The Dodgers got a clutch hit from left fielder Noah Gross. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Dodgers.
"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Gross. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
