Pittsburgh had no answer for Cincinnati Reds hurler Roger Jenkins, who overwhelmed Pirates hitters as the Reds coasted to victory, 9-0. The Reds improve their record to 71-73 with the win over Pittsburgh.

The Reds got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ollie Millner. For the game, Millner went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 31st home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 3-0 lead.

"If the personal accolades come, so be it," said Millner. "I just want to win ballgames."
