Coleman Impressive in New York Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the New York Mets and the Detroit Tigers, 23-year old left-handed pitcher Edbert Coleman was the difference-maker. The New York left-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Charlie Henry notched his 17th save of the season. The Mets sit in 4th place in the Eastern Region North Division with a record of 64-80.
Coleman, now 1-2, scattered 1 hit over 7 innings for the Mets.
"When Edbert is on, he can really move the ball around," said New York manager Justin Rich.
