The performance of Diarmid Snow proved critical in helping Boston beat Portland, 6-4. The Red Sox pinch hitter went 1 for 1 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. The Red Sox now have a record of 48-97.

Snow had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Roger Lin, he banged a bases-clearing double to left-center, giving the Red Sox a 6-4 lead. It was the 9th double of the year for Snow.
