Fans watched the Toronto Blue Jays and the London Royals fight to the finish.

The Toronto Blue Jays got a good effort from starter Tom Holshouser in defeating the London Royals at Rogers Centre. The final score was 3-2. With this game in the books, Toronto is 78-68, London 62-84.

Had Jesse Fildes not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Fildes hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Blue Jays.
