Modesto Hangs 8-1 Loss on Lake Elsinore

The Modesto Nuts earned a win at John Thurman Field, stopping the Lake Elsinore Storm, 8-1. Starting pitcher Yasson Nero played a big role in his team's success. The winner was Nero. He threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was Simón Claudil. The win takes Modesto to 11-5.
In the bottom of the third, 25-year old left fielder Kal Rondan hit a solo home run. The 1st home run of the season for the Modesto right fielder put the Nuts on top, 1-0.
