Houston designated hitter Rafael Nieves had a good game, even if his team did not. The Astros dropped a 7-5 decision to San Francisco at Minute Maid Park. Nieves went 4-5 with a triple and 3 singles, while scoring 2. San Francisco pitcher Stéfano Arras got the win, upping his record to 10-11. Tyron Irlbeck got the loss. Byron Johnson recorded the save, making him 18 for 20.

San Francisco used the clutch hitting of Bradley Graham to snag the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Giants ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Giants manager Miles Waterbury, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."

The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Giants.
