Astros Slap 7-5 Loss on San Francisco
The Houston Astros defeated the San Francisco Giants, 7-5, at Minute Maid Park. Houston was led by 24-year old left fielder Tristan Barton, who went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Steven Vineberg recorded the save for Houston, his 16th of the season. With the win over San Francisco, the Astros improved to 66-81.

An inflection point occurred with no one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Astros center fielder Justin Ekins hit a fastball from Titus Pugh for a 2-run single. Just like that, Houston was up, 3-2.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Ekins told the Houston Times. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."
