Yankee Stadium hosted a real pitchers' duel.

The New York Yankees beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 2-1, at Yankee Stadium. Starting pitcher Jeremiah Jackson was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. The win puts New York at 78-70 this season.

New York took a 2-1 lead on Randal Zoss's 9th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Zoss hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Toronto pitcher Brom Kucera visibly frustrated.

"We were in it," said Toronto manager Jaden Bishop. "We just didn't score enough runs."
