Ignition Roll to 8-2 Win Over Twins
Minnesota designated hitter Bobby Crooks had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Crooks was 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, even as Indianapolis beat the Twins, 8-2. Broadway Ward came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record now stands at 5-2. Indianapolis is now 89-60, while Minnesota is 91-58.

Indianapolis used the bat of Benjamin Nang to get the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Ignition ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

Said losing manager Christian Gibson: "Give the Ignition credit. They took advantage of our mistakes."
