Dodgers Get Clutch Win, 4-3
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Cleveland Indians, 4-3, in 10 innings at Tecumseh Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Los Angeles pitcher Zach Small. Jethro Ramos picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 4-0. Travis Alvey suffered the loss. After today's action, Los Angeles sits at 74-77; Cleveland slips to 85-66.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Noah Gross? The 2064 AL home run champion Gross stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put Los Angeles up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 5, including 1 double and 1 single.
"I liked his command," said Los Angeles manager Tommy Bushmaker. "Zach was throwing strikes."
