Montreal and Baltimore duked it out and the Expos came out victorious.

Montreal right-hander Gabriel Taylor pitched his team to victory over the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The final score was 5-2. In 6 innings, Taylor surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs.

Braden Sampson had a big run-scoring triple for the Expos in the top of the fifth inning. With Montreal leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a slider from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Zak Vara and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 5th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Expos ahead, 3-0.

"Gabriel showed what he's made of," said Montreal manager John Sweeney.

The 4th-place Expos sport a record of 77-78.
