No one was more impactful than Brandon Wright in the 8-0 Indianapolis win over Pittsburgh. Wright, who is tied for 10th in the EAST with a .305 batting average, went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times. Indianapolis reliever Timmy Linder picked up the win, upping his record to 12-6. Mitchell Joseph shouldered the loss. The Pirates, now 76-85, have lost 4 straight.

Grayson Potts dealt the Pirates a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Indianapolis leading 2-0, Potts hit a first pitch splitter for a 2-run single.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Indianapolis skipper Jose Gomez.
