The 8-4 Vancouver win over California was due in large part to Zachary Matthews. The Cascades right fielder hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6. Vancouver is now 91-71, California 77-85.

This game was not decided until late. With no one out in the top of the ninth, Harry Spender drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Cascades took the lead, 5-4.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Matthews.
