Lake Monsters Hang 9-6 Loss on Jammers
|
In the 9-6 Vermont win over Jamestown, the impact of Victor Dean was substantial. Dean, who is tied for 7th in the NYP in home runs with 9, went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Nicky O'Rourke got credit for the save for Vermont. It was his 2nd of the year. At 37-26, the Lake Monsters find themselves in third place in the New York-Penn League North Division.
Vermont grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Dean, who is tied for 7th in the NYP in home runs with 9, hit a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Lake Monsters out in front, 2-0.
"The most important thing is that we won," Dean said.
