Willis Leads Volcanoes to 8-5 Win Over Canucks
Tanner Willis impressed in the 8-5 Salem-Keizer win over Abbotsford. Willis, who leads the NWL with a 1.055 OPS, was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Jamarcus Allen picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 8 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 10. On the season, he is now 3-2. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Skyler DuBose.

Making an impact for Salem-Keizer was designated hitter Nolan Huffnagle. Poison drilled a run-scoring double off Emmanuel Shipp in the bottom of the third. For the game, Huffnagle went 1-5 with a double.

"I still think this team can play even better," Huffnagle told the Salem-Keizer Today.

The 4th-place Volcanoes improved to 34-24.
