Wilson Lifts Owls to 9-7 Triumph
|
Samson Wilson was instrumental in his team's 9-7 triumph over the Bradenton Marauders. The first baseman was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Oxford Owls. At 60-38, the Owls are currently third in the East Coast League Mideast Division.
T.J. Meyer had a key at-bat with one out in the bottom of the second for Oxford. With the bases loaded and the Owls leading 2-1, he hit a sacrifice fly.
"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Oxford manager Leo Romero.
