Tigers Suffer 6-4 Loss to Astros

Houston and Detroit duked it out and the Astros came out victorious.
John Simmons, who finished 4th in the NL in ERA with 3.03 in 2065, propelled his team to victory over the Detroit Tigers. The final score was 6-4, Houston. Simmons picked up the win for Houston, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. Owen Dutter was called on to finish, recording his 1st save.
Houston center fielder Charles Bell contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 35th hit of the season and put the Astros ahead, 3-1.
Houston manager Ramon Guerrero was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard," he said.
Houston occupies 5th place in the National League Torres Division at 20-25.
