The Traverse City Pit Spitters had their hands full with Charlotte Stone Crabs starter Mike Morris, who frustrated Traverse City hitters while leading Charlotte to a comfortable, 8-0 win. With the win, the Stone Crabs have a record of 61-43.

David Grady had a big grand slam home run for the Stone Crabs in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Charlotte leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Samuel Wylie and swatted a home run to left. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stone Crabs ahead, 5-0.

"They just got us," said Traverse City manager Marshall Lawrence, "and that's all I can say."
