The performance of Tony Wichmann proved critical in helping Vancouver beat Houston, 5-4. The Cascades catcher went 2-4 with 2 home runs. Tony Young earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2 innings. His record is now 5-0. Earning his 1st save for Vancouver was Chris Kazan.

The Cascades got a big hit from first baseman Echo Warren. In the bottom of the sixth, Warren pounded a solo home run to left. His 9th home run of the season put the Cascades ahead, 5-1.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Warren told reporters after the game.

The Cascades' win now puts them at 26-20.
