Slumping Drive Lose Again

The Kannapolis Intimidators beat the Greenville Drive, 4-2, at Fluor Field at the West End. The Intimidators got a fine performance from designated hitter Brandon Lalonde, who was 1-1 with a home run and 3 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Randy Chapin, the winner, improved to 9-6. He held Greenville to 2 runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. The Intimidators improved their record to 62-45 with the win over Greenville.
Lalonde had a timely hit for Kannapolis in the top of the sixth. With Kannapolis trailing 2-1, he turned a 3-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 17th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Kannapolis.
"The guys seem happy with the win. That's good, I guess," said Lalonde.
