Bustillos Stars as BlueClaws Top Tourists, 9-3
|
The Lakewood BlueClaws downed the Asheville Tourists, 9-3, at Lake Olmstead Stadium. The BlueClaws were led by Sebastian Bustillos. Bustillos went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. By defeating Asheville, the second-place BlueClaws improved to 61-44.
In the top of the seventh, Dylan Welch stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Tourists were trailing 9-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when Abel Babujyan made a terrific pitch and Welch struck out. Gone was the dream of a Asheville comeback.
