The Asheville Tourists picked up a win at Lake Olmstead Stadium, knocking off the Lakewood BlueClaws, 7-4. Starting pitcher Devante McCullough played a key role in the triumph. Kenny Mitchell notched his 23rd save of the season. The Tourists improved their record to 59-48 with the win over Lakewood.

Asheville catcher Alex Girard landed a blow when he belted a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth. It was his 2nd home run of the season. With it, the Tourists took a 7-0 lead.

"Devante was in attack mode," said Asheville manager Orlando Lopez.
