The Boston Red Sox picked up a win at Citi Field, taking down the New York Mets, 7-6. Starting pitcher Lloyd Del Rio was a big reason why. The last-place Red Sox improved to 16-32.

Boston needed the clutch hitting of Ian Holland to seal the deal. The second baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Red Sox on top, 7-6. For the game, Holland had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"In this profession, you've got to put the good and the bad behind you quickly," New York skipper Colton Whittle said.
