Diamondbacks Knock Off Athletics, 2-0

The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a win at Chase Field, knocking off the Oakland Athletics, 2-0. On the mound for Arizona was right-hander Jon Brownell, who played a pivotal role in the win. Arizona goes to 22-26, Oakland to 26-22.
The Diamondbacks got a big hit from first baseman Peter Conrad. In the bottom of the sixth, Conrad pounded a solo home run to right. His 7th home run of the season put the Diamondbacks ahead, 2-0.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Brownell said.
