Dodgers Run Win Streak to 6
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers stymied the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-1, at Citizens Bank Park. Jake Dennison had a good day at the plate. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Los Angeles. Neil Mogel got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 9 and walking 0. The winning streak has now reached 6 games for the Dodgers.
Los Angeles grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Dennison hit a solo home run off Cody Woten. His 10th home run of the season put the Dodgers out in front, 1-0.
"When their pitchers are leaving stuff over the heart of the plate, we're not missing it," said Los Angeles manager Tommy Bushmaker.
