The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Houston Astros, 7-3, at Minute Maid Park. Los Angeles designated hitter Kerry Pietrzak had a superb performance. He was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win puts Los Angeles at 29-23 this season.

Los Angeles used the timely hitting of Christian LeTourneau to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodgers on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is contagious," said Pietrzak. "We're looking forward to the next game."
