Intimidators Use Late Rally to Win 6th Straight
|
The Kannapolis Intimidators did just enough to sneak past the Columbus Catfish, 3-2, at CMC-NorthEast Stadium. Kannapolis pitcher Brandon Wiest, in particular, had a standout performance. Kannapolis pitcher Rodrigo Ortiz got the win. He's now 3-3. Donovan Spruill was tagged with the loss. The save went to Slim Ferguson, number 28 for him.
Dennis Mann chipped in a run-scoring single for Kannapolis in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Mann after the game.
The 'W' lifts Kannapolis's record to 65-45.
