Intimidators Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators picked up a win at CMC-NorthEast Stadium, downing the West Virginia Power, 3-1, in 10 innings. On the mound for Kannapolis was right-hander Doug Spaulding, who played a pivotal role in the win. Kannapolis reliever Sergio Rodriguez picked up the win to move to 4-7. Luke Blair suffered the loss. The Intimidators saw their win-loss record go to 64-49. At the same time, the Power fell to 48-65.

The decisive blow was delivered by Juan Resendiz in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Luke Blair to win the game for Kannapolis. The home crowd went nuts.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Kannapolis manager Jason McDonald.
