Suns Take Down Intimidators, 1-0
|
In a tight affair between the Hagerstown Suns and the Kannapolis Intimidators, pitcher Matías Ferrer was in the zone. The Hagerstown right-hander helped his team win the game, 1-0. Hagerstown pitcher Kyle Tarver got the win. He's now 10-1. Cortéz De La Cruz was tagged with the loss. The first-place Suns, at 83-32, now lead their division by 13 games.
Maximilian Armstrong, the 22-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Armstrong contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put Hagerstown up, 1-0.
"Exciting game to play in," said Ferrer. "Getting the win makes it even better."
