Minnesota Topples Virginia, 5-3

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Virginia left fielder Jay Maier had a good game, even if his team did not. The Black Bears dropped a 5-3 decision to Minnesota at Target Field. Maier was 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. At 25-28, the Twins are currently 5th in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division.
The Twins got a big at-bat from shortstop Isiah Crudup. For the game, Crudup went 1-3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 3rd triple of the season gave Minnesota a 2-1 lead.
"A great game, a great day," said Crudup about the win. "I can't complain."
