The Augusta GreenJackets picked up a win at First Energy Park, knocking off the Lexington Legends, 2-1. Starting pitcher Shannon Newkirk was a big reason why. The winner in relief was Hunter Yanney. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He now owns a record of 4-3. The misery continues for the Legends, which has now dropped 12 in a row.

Van Mejia was the walk-off hero for Augusta. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the GreenJackets first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Sometimes, you can be too aggressive," said Lexington manager Curtis Bishop. "You need to let the game come to you."
