BlueClaws Rally For 8-5 Win

The Lakewood BlueClaws besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Lexington right fielder Gabe Hanson by beating the Legends, 8-5, at Whitaker Bank Ballpark. Hanson went 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Pablo Gordillo came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. With the win, Lakewood goes to 74-46, while the Legends fall to 26-94.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Chase Franz? The Lakewood left fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the BlueClaws on top, 6-5. For the game, Franz had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Franz said the win provided a "big morale boost" for the team. "There's a good feeling in the clubhouse right now."
