The Cocoa Flyers defeated the Frederick Keys, 7-6. Shortstop Saverio Luci deserved a large share of the credit. Luci was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times for the Flyers. Billy Narron came through with a big-time hit for Cocoa. The catcher smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 7-6. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Just trying to keep things simple and helping the team win any way I can," Luci told a local reporter after the game.
