Tarpons Win by Slim Margin, 4-3

The Tampa Tarpons faced a tough opponent in Winston-Salem pitcher Jay Bungert, but did just enough to pull out the victory at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Bungert went 6.1 innings and allowed no runs. The 7th-place Tarpons improved to 46-64.
Rollie Taylor was the walk-off hero for Tampa. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Tarpons pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.
"This wasn't a good win," said Taylor. "It was a great win."
