Hillcats Beat Charlotte, 6-5

The Lynchburg Hillcats and Charlotte Stone Crabs played an entertaining game for Charlotte Sports Park patrons.
Led by Enzo Walch, the Lynchburg Hillcats downed the Charlotte Stone Crabs, 6-5. Walch went 3 for 6 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs for the Hillcats. Lynchburg pitcher Yoennis De Los Santos earned the win, hiking his record to 4-2. Carl Binkley suffered the loss.
Tom Pennington drove in one run for Lynchburg. With one out and the game tied in the top of the ninth inning, Pennington had a clutch at-bat. Facing Charlotte hurler Carl Binkley, he hit a sacrifice fly to give the Hillcats a 6-5 lead.
In comments to the Lynchburg Observer, Walch insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
At 60-52, the Hillcats claim 4th place in the East Coast League Mideast Division.
