Mets Snag 3-2 Win
|
The Charlotte Stone Crabs got a superb performance from pitcher Carson Bogs, but the St. Lucie Mets still won the game, 3-2. Bogs threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Cesario Remy picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Mike Tomsic was tagged with the loss. Anthony Paddock closed the game out for St. Lucie, earning his 17th save.
Had Michael Dollinger not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Dollinger hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mets.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said St. Lucie manager Octavio Collazo.
The Mets now have a mark of 71-42.
