Mudcats Get 6-3 Win Versus Salem
The Carolina Mudcats topped the Salem Red Sox, 6-3, in East Coast League action at Five County Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Carolina pitcher and Omaha, Nebraska, native Benedetto Aguilar. The win makes Carolina 67-52.

The Mudcats got a big at-bat from left fielder Augie Edwards. For the game, Edwards was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Carolina a 6-3 lead.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Aguilar. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
