Eric Hsi pitched well, but his team, the Lakeland Flying Tigers, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Salem Red Sox at Joker Marchant Stadium. Lark Enger earned the win. Eric Hsi took the loss for Lakeland. Farris Jefferson nailed down the save.
Salem won the game in part because of Rich LeMieur. The center fielder ripped a solo home run in the top of the third inning to put the Red Sox ahead, 3-1. For the game, LeMieur had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
Said losing manager Peter Carter: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."
With the victory, the Red Sox upped their record to 63-61.
