The home crowd had a good time watching the Burlington Sock Puppets and Pocatello Pioneers get after it.
The Pocatello Pioneers beat the Burlington Sock Puppets, 5-2. Pocatello pitcher and Half Moon, North Carolina, native Jack Beck led the way. Bodie Engelsman was credited with the save for Pocatello, his 1st of the season.
Alex Long, who is tied for 4th in the PIO in triples with 4, aided the Pocatello cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the right fielder went 1-5.
Long called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
With the victory, the Pioneers record now stands at 26-37.
