Las Vegas Drops Miami, 3-1
|
The Las Vegas Knights got a magnificent performance from pitcher Charles Darlin, who stifled the Miami offense en route to a 3-1 Knights win at Marlins Park. Darlin went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 2, and struck out 3. His record improves to 4-6. Stan DeGroat was credited with the save for Las Vegas, his 11th of the season.
Patrick Alvarez, the 30-year old catcher , had a direct impact on the outcome. Alvarez contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Las Vegas up, 3-0.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Alvarez.
With this game in the books, Las Vegas is 21-36, Miami 24-33.
