Bailey Blasts Indians, AquaSox Take Game 4, 6-5
|
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Spokane Indians team, the Everett AquaSox had a tough assignment. Jayden Bailey delivered.
The AquaSox right fielder was unstoppable for the visitors, as he was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 6-5. Bailey, 21, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Everett now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.
Bailey turned the game around in the top of the ninth. That's when the Everett right fielder dialed up a 3-run home run. Just like that, Everett's 5-3 deficit turned into a 6-5 lead.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Everett manager Domingo Martínez.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Avista Stadium in Spokane.
