Loss to Mets Extends Texas Losing Streak
|
New York pitcher Georgie Lang did his part in helping his team beat the Texas Rangers, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. New York now sits at 30-28, while Texas falls to 17-41.
Had Jeremy Zimmerman not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Zimmerman hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Mets.
"We're scuffling right now," said losing manager Luis Dorado.
