Hops Need Extra Innings to Top Indians, 4-2
|
The Portland Hops beat the Cleveland Indians, 4-2. Portland pitcher and Cherry Hill, New Jersey, native Thatcher Corcoran led the way. The Hops improved to 23-37.
Russ Hicks, the 31-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Hicks contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put Portland up, 4-2.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Hicks.
