Tarpons Win, 9-0, as Franco Mystifies Salem
The Salem Red Sox were almost helpless in their 9-0 loss to the Tampa Tarpons and hurler Logan Franco. Franco kept the Red Sox confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout.

"Tip your hat to Franco," Salem manager Condon Murrell said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night."

The 22-year-old left-hander had 1 walk and 6 strikeouts in a strong performance.

"It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Franco said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way."

In 15 starts this year, Franco has crafted a 7-4 record and a 2.71 ERA.
