The Cocoa Flyers defeated the Jupiter Hammerheads, 7-5, at Roger Dean Stadium. Cocoa was led by 22-year old center fielder Brent Kushner, who went 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Cameron Stiger was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 7 of 10 save opportunities. This win makes it 6 in a row for Cocoa.

Kushner had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Jensen Sweeney, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Flyers a 7-5 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Kushner.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Kushner, "one at-bat at a time."
