Hillcats Get 5-4 Win Versus Frederick
|
Frank Fong was locked in. The right-hander led the Lynchburg Hillcats to a 5-4 win against the Frederick Keys at Calvin Falwell Field. The winning pitcher was Fong, now 8-5. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. Nolan Mojica wrapped it up, recording his 38th save.
Second Baseman Gunner Medina made an impact for Lynchburg, when he swatted a 2-run double off Bruce Jones in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Medina was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"Both teams played hard," said Lynchburg manager Antonio Molina.
The defeat makes Frederick 75-59.
