Lalonde Goes Deep Twice in 7-2 Intimidators Win
The Kannapolis Intimidators used the hitting of designated hitter Brandon Lalonde to subdue the Columbia Fireflies, 7-2. For the game, Lalonde was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. The win went to Griffin Porter in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Eugene Hottinger took the loss. The 4th-place Intimidators now sit at 78-46.

Lalonde had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch slider from Eugene Hottinger, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Intimidators a 3-2 lead. It was the 20th home run of the year for Lalonde.

"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Lalonde. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
