Jayden Paine was a major contributor to the 4-3 Greenville win over Columbia. The Drive second baseman went 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Ali Gilliam earned his 15th save in 18 tries. Today's win puts Greenville at 61-67, while Columbia falls to 70-58.
Giacomo Ciccini, who leads the SAL in doubles with 33, helped out the Greenville cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the first baseman was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk.
"I like what I saw today," said Greenville manager E.J. Boggan, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
