Ethan Anderson imposed his will on the Braves from the get-go. Relying mainly on his slider, the right-hander spearheaded the 4-1 Hickory triumph. Hickory reliever Jesse Richard picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Gabriel Cain took the loss. Picking up the save was Tyler Burnley, his 6th.

Hickory took a 3-1 lead on Jackie Lee's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Lee hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rome pitcher Gabriel Cain visibly frustrated.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Lee.

The Crawdads improved to 70-62.
